What is NSI Gold Category 1 Certification?
We are NSI Gold Category I Accredited, certified to EN 50518 – the current European standard for Alarm Receiving Centres. This confirms that our ARC is built to handle third-party monitoring contracts, with full resilience, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
By contrast, EN 50518 Clause 4.2 makes clear that Category II ARCs are only intended to monitor the owner’s own property. They cannot hold police URNs or provide independent monitoring for external customers. Conwy ARC is Category I – the highest standard – meaning we can support businesses, councils, insurers, and housing providers with verified, independent monitoring.
